What to expect: a clear, realistic overview of the academic, immigration, and licensing considerations that come with choosing a U.S. program or residency. You’ll learn what the application and visa process looks like, how residency training in the U.S. affects your return to Canada, and what steps you can take early to avoid delays later. 

We’ll also cover what to expect if you plan to remain in the U.S. for an extended period after graduation, including the pathways to securing U.S. licensure and the implications for your long-term career options. This session is designed to support your planning, answer common concerns, and help you make confident, well-informed decisions about your path forward.
